The Golden Rule: Do Not Wash the Fill

Unlike synthetic pillows, Kapok fiber should never be submerged in water. Washing the inner fill can cause the fibers to clump and lose their natural buoyancy.

• RE-fresh the Casing: Our 100% Organic Cotton casing is designed for longevity. Unzip the cover, remove the Kapok fill (store it in a clean bag), and machine wash the casing only in cold water on a gentle cycle.
• Sun-Sanitizing: To naturally refresh your pillow, place it in direct sunlight for 1–2 hours once a month. The sun’s UV rays naturally sanitize the fibers and help the Kapok "re-expand" to its original loft.
• The Tumble Trick: If your pillow begins to feel compressed, place the entire pillow in the dryer on Air Fluff (NO HEAT) for 10–15 minutes with two clean tennis balls or dryer balls. This will break up any clumps and restore the "flow" of the fibers.
• Spot Cleaning: If a spill occurs on the casing, spot clean immediately with a mild, eco-friendly detergent and a damp cloth. Ensure the area is bone-dry before re-inserting the fill.
