This double-woven fabric means "quilted," "padded," or "cushioned in French and is made in the style of hand-stitched quilts of southern France. This matelasse is woven on a jacquard loom and the pattern created through the complex interlacement of the threads. glo's geometric matelasse coverlets and shams are lightweight, elegant and contemporary.
