Good Planet staffThere are no messages of environmental doom and gloom here! The Good Planet Company celebrates the planet and all that Mother Earth has to offer!

The Good Planet Company was founded by Alain St.Onge and Ian Cromack, who, in 2001, decided to quit their jobs and put their reputations as Treehuggers, Granola Crunchers and wide eyed optimists to good use by creating a values-led business, featuring an exciting range of earth-friendly, organic products.

The company continues to evolve and innovate, moving in 2008 to a larger, brighter, main street location, ensuring that it's product lines are continually refreshed and improved. With seven people now on staff, the entire Good Planet team invites you to drop by the store in beautiful downtown Victoria for a warm welcome, a cup of tea and a browse!

Alain

ALAIN

"The Visionary"

Co-founder of The Good Planet Company, Alain's the guy who comes up with 100 ideas a day on how to make the store better, but likes nothing better than to chat with our customers.  Alain is completely incapable of keeping his office clean.

Little known facts: Alain sees his life as a 70's TV sitcom.


Ian

IAN

"The Implementer"

Co-founder of The Good Planet Company, Ian's the guy who tries to keep everything together, he builds the fixtures, he writes the cheques, he makes lists, and lists of lists, and does the best he can to turn Alain's ideas into reality.

Little known facts:  Was a yak farmer in a previous life. Sewed up a yurt in two days flat.


Andrea

ANDREA

"The Magician"
As The Good Planet Company's store manager, Andrea has the knack of keeping the store stocked and merchandised, all the while giving great customer service. Andrea searches out great new products to stock the store with.

Little known facts: Andrea holds the Guinness World Record for fastest bank teller.  No, not really, but she sure is fast and accurate.


Christie

CHRISTIE

"The Sleep Specialist"

Christie values a good night's sleep... she will help you create the ideal bedroom environment for healthful, restorative slumber. Christie loves people and loves selling our well researched products.

Little known facts: Christie is on a mission to bring back the term Crone, the "older wise woman with energy to spare". Christie is not a  chocoholic as evidenced by her willingness to share her endless supply.


Danielle

DANIELLE

"Web Maven"

Danielle spends her time creating and maintaining the website you're looking at, as well as facebooking and tweeting to her heart's content. Danielle also oversees the Good Planet Baby department, and sources the great baby products you see in the store.

Little known facts: Fish eyes creep Danielle out.


Monika

MONIKA

"Girl Saturday"

Monika already has a full time career, but she loves to run "The Planet" in her spare time!  Monika loves to share her knowledge of The Good Planet Company's products with her customers.

Little known facts: Loves hot yoga and can play the organ, but not at the same time.


Shiri

SHIRI

"Multi-tasker"

Shiri can do it all.  Great customer service? Check! Accounting? Check!   Cloth Diaper expert? Check!  Wicked sense of humour?  Check!

Little known facts: Has been to more countries in this year's Lonely Planet Calendar than anyone else on staff.

Good Planet storeThe Good Planet Company consists of great customers, great products, great ideals and a great team of people to keep everything together!   The opportunities to grow the business are endless, but we focus on keeping things simple, offering the best products, services and values to our customers, while offering a stable, enjoyable, challenging workplace.   As a result, employment opportunities are limited.    

We keep the cover letters, references and CV's of qualified applicants on file for a period of one year from the date of receipt.  If an employment opportunity is not suited to exisiting applicants, we will then post the vacant position here on the website, on Craigslist, and in-store.
